The show follows the life of the Slut for a full year. Everything is set into motion after they find their partner in bed with somebody else. During the year the Slut has time to dream of group sex, a wedding and for everybody else to shut the f* up. The thoughts seem to have no end and they're constantly looking for the next thing to fill up the void.

While the body is being corroded by an existential crisis, relief is always found in pleasure. Pleasure gives meaning for life and it's just wonderful to not think about anything at all. Even though nothing is forever, could pleasure be prolonged infinitely? Are fantasies made to be fulfilled? Is it possible to be fulfilled?

The debut monologue by Meeri Toivonen is almost auto-fiction about a young person's pursuit for finding the purpose of their life.

"I have regularly been asked, how come I am able to say out loud these things that several others are too afraid to utter. The Year of the Slut came into being out of these thoughts. Of course, this is a monologue filled with sex and violence but there's also at least one funny dance sequence."
