Vihan jälkeen is a show about the possibility of compassion.

Vihan jälkeen draws in front of the viewer very contemporary pictures of drifting into anger and giving it up. It tells about loneliness, rejection, the desire to belong - but also about the possibility of change. Of hope. For the courage to choose differently. A light that guides away from the darkness when the limit comes and the life pierced by anger becomes cramped.

It is also a story about family, family ties - and sisterhood. Jaana and Lili are sisters. Their experiences of the past and their home country of Finland differ in many respects. Can they still find each other?

In addition to the siblings, stories of former haters will be seen on the stage.

"Don't get me wrong, I didn't even think of myself as a racist."

The show sheds light on prejudices, drifting into extremism and the possibility of compassion. It is a fascinating cavalcade of different shades of life. It sprouts from dark to light and from cold to warm.

The play is based on interviews conducted by writer-director Elina Izarra and photographer Katja Tähjä. People who have spread hatred and faced it, researchers and people who help in starting a new life have participated in them. In connection with the play, you can familiarize yourself with Katja Tähja's photo exhibition.
